Last weeks buzz was all about the rumour that google was about to purchase youtube, well thats all history now – the deal has been done at a cool cost of 1.6bn. I read this post from Ken McCarthy’s blog thats puts an angle on the purchase.
 YouTube, launched in February 2005 and has grown quickly into one of the most popular websites on the internet. It has over 100 million videos viewed every day and an estimated 72 million individual visitors each month. Mary Rose posted an emotional thank you on the youtube blog reassuring users that they won’t have to start paying for youtube.
